The dollar continues to fall against the ¥, and this saddens me. It’s to the point where it’s almost at the low for the last six months. I can only hope that it recovers before I have to start exchanging my dollars. It’s interesting to consider how much this might affect such expenses as my rent, cell phone, etc. Interesting, but still annoying!! :P
Anyway, I haven’t really had too much to add at the moment. I need to continue looking through stuff to do there, but I’ve been busy with the requirements of my current semester at UF.
Some stuff I’m still waiting on:
1) A space to open up in Togoshi during the time I need it
2) My Certificate of Eligibility to be returned from Japan so that I can get my visa
3) The endorser form to come in for my loans in Spring.
Need to do the following:
1) Return the job form to TUJ
2) Return the short-term housing form… not sure how much short-term housing to request, so this is problematic. I think I’m going to go for the cheapest option, though, which is a traditional-style Japanese hotel. Here’s a link: Tokyo Sanuki Club. It’s only ¥5,000 yen per night, so that’s the cheapest option… I’d have to share a public bath though, so that’s the minus there…
