Well, I was curious, so I looked up a graph of recent $/¥ exchange rates, and I see that I should have purchased ¥ in June. Doh! I didn’t really have random cash to be putting into ¥ at that point, but it’s still annoying that there was such a gain then. The dollar seems to have bottomed out in September, and is slowly climbing again. I guess I should keep my eye on it, although, I’m really not in a position to purchase a large quantity of currency until I get my loans for next semester anyway… still, it’s interesting.
