Well, I went ahead and finally purchased my ticket to Tokyo. It was getting to where the cheapest flights were selling out. As it is, I ended up with a flight out of Chicago O’Hare that leaves only an hour after my flight in from Tampa arrives. This makes me nervous, but hopefully I won’t miss my flight. I’m sure it is more likely that I will make it, but my bags won’t. crosses fingers that both me and my bags arrive in Tokyo
Anway, my itinerary is as follows…
Tampa, FL | 07 JAN, Mon | 9:05 AM | United Airlines
Chicago, IL | 07 JAN, Mon | 10:57 AM | 12:01 PM | United Airlines
Tokyo, JP | 08 JAN, Tues | 4:20 PM
That gives me probably one night in a hotel, and hopefully check into an apartment the next day (since many apartments have office hours that close at 5:30 PM, and it will take me about 2 hours to get myself from Narita to the center of Tokyo). I will also have to determine if I want to lug my baggage or have them shipped to an address the next day.
